IUNE Observatory - Research Activity in Spanish Universities
Group of researchers from the universities that make up the "4U Alliance": Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Universidad Aut ónoma de Madrid, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
It provides up-to-date and reliable information on different aspects of research activity in Spanish universities.
It develops a battery of R&D&I variables and indicators that make it possible to determine the activity of public and private universities: teaching staff, scientific recognition, research activity, innovation, competitive capacity, researcher training activity.
It allows the elaboration of university profiles according to their scientific activity.
U-Ranking of Spanish Universities
An initiative of the BBVA Foundation and the Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas (Ivie) that takes into account data on three dimensions - teaching, research and technological development - for each of the universities.

Global compilation of science performance and science trend data derived from the Web of Science Core Collection.

Project developed by SRG (SCImago Research Group) is a Scientific Assessment Platform and Ranking Generator to analyse the scientific output of universities and scientific institutions. It aims to design analysis tools to help institutions monitor and evaluate their scientific output and make decisions to increase their scientific performance and fund projects.
Academic Rankings of World Universities
Compiled by a group of bibliometric specialists at Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. It uses six objective indicators to rank the world's universities. These indicators are the number of students and professors who have won Nobel Prizes and Fields Medals, the number of highly cited researchers, the number of articles published in Nature and Science journals, the number of articles indexed in Science Citation Index - Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and the per capita performance relative to the size of an institution. AMRU ranks more than 1,200.
Since December 2023, U‑Multirank has been part of EHESO (European Higher Education Sector Observatory), a project promoted and funded by the European Union. The data used by U‑Multirank come from different sources of information: data provided by public institutions, international bibliometric databases, patent databases, and the results of student surveys.
Developed by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) in Leiden, it provides a ranking based exclusively on bibliographic data from the Thomson Reuters WOS database and offers a multidimensional perspective.
