Comillas, present at the “Campus de la Transition”
This is the last summer school of the Erasmus+ EU4TRANSITION project for ecosocial transition
COMILLAS |
Thirty lecturers, students and staff from the universities that are part of the Erasmus+ EU4TRANSITION project attended the Campus de la Transition, held in the French locality of Forges, to share experiences in the context of higher education, and to address the role of universities in the transition to a sustainable society.
Estela Díaz and Amparo Merino, lecturers at the faculty of Economics and Business Administration (Comillas ICADE), together with Esther Molina, Héctor Sánchez, Alba Tovar and Gelareh Salehi, students of the centre, represented Comillas.
This summer school was the third and last one of the projects. The first one took place in the Aterra Bizimodu ecovillage in Navarra. There, they showed the different worldviews of each university involved. The second one, held at Estonia, focused on the systems (political, legal, education, economic, social) that structure our societies.
This last meeting in France sought to complete the suggestions, with an emphasis on instruments of change capable of eco-social transformations.
The Erasmus+ EU4TRANSITION Project is made up of four universities: ESSEC (France), Stichting Universiteit voor Humanistiek (Netherlands), Yasar Universitesi (Turkey) and Comillas Pontifical University. Alongside these universities, three international communities working for sustainability: Arterra Bizimodu (Spain), Mtü Ökokogukondade Ühendus (Estonia) and the Campus de la Transition (France).
