Inés Bergua, from the Bachelor's Degree in Law (E-1) and member of the Spanish rhythmic gymnastics team that will compete in the 2024 Olympic Games, has been recognised with the 2022 Carrera-Dual award, granted by the Consejo Superior de Deportes of the Ministry of Culture and Sport "in recognition of the double sporting and academic merit of young athletes". For the gymnast from Huesca, this recognition means "great joy and an added stimulus to her career". She is grateful to the university, in general, and the sports unit, in particular, for their support.

The aim of these awards is to highlight the effort made by young athletes to combine their sporting careers with their academic training. Bergua shares the award with Clara Gascó Arranz, handball athlete of the Valencian Community. In addition, due to the high level of the nominations presented, "Honorable Mentions" have been awarded to the swimmers María García Polo and Emma Carrasco Cadens, and the surfer Lucía Machado Rodríguez.

Born in Huesca in 2004, Bergua started rhythmic gymnastics at the age of three and joined the national team at thirteen. With a training routine of six to seven hours a day, Bergua says that in this first year at Comillas ICADE, her lecturers, classmates and the rest of the university's services have gone out of their way to make it easier for her to access the classes, materials and resources she needs. She is especially grateful for the help of her tutor, Alberto Serrano, as she mentioned in issue 109 of the Comillas magazine.
