“This degree responds to the renewal of models and tools for Pastoral Care of the Family”

What is the degree of Specialist in Pastoral Care of the Family?

The Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia by Pope Francis, encourages fomenting and cultivating the training of priests, religious and lay people. This implies a change in the paradigma de la Family Pastoralparadigm and for this reason, the Universidad Pontificia Comillas offers the program in Pastoral Care of the Family, which analyzes the implications of the profound renewal of the models, tools and training of Pastoral agents.

Comillas offers this program in Pastoral Care of the Family, with part-time attendance required at times throughout the academic period, so that individuals, with pastoral experience or with extensive experience in communities or Ecclesial institutions that need training or updating knowledge to be pastoral agents, can combine work and studies.

Education, training and up-dating of knowledge for Pastoral agents.

The program of Specialist in Pastoral Care of the Family, of the University Institute for the Family, is organized and taught with the participation of the Faculties of Theology, Canon Law and Humanities and Social Sciences (through UNINPSI, a division of Psychology). Jesuit universities have one of their focal points on the family, and this University can, thus, play an important role in this context, placing discernment and accompaniment, issues of Ignatian spirituality at the center of renewal.
