What is the Master's Degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with Children and Adolescents?

The Master's Degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with Children and Adolescents has a professional focus, stemming from the real demands for Psychologists who specialize in this area of Health. Therefore, it prepares students to work in the field of childhood and adolescent Mental Health, with an up-to-date perspective, characterized by quality.

The aim of the Master's Degree in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy with Children and Adolescents is to meet the demand for specialization in this field of intervention, combining rigor and academic quality with a focus on practical learning, which is evidenced by the methodology of the lectures and the quality of the seminars. All of the Professors in this Master´s Degree are working professionals; experts in the areas of the courses that they teach, with extensive teaching experience.

Those students who wish to work as Psychology professionals in the Health and Clinical fields must obtain an Official Master's Degree in General Health Psychology (MPGS) or obtain the specialization through the qualification for Psychologists Specializing in Clinical Psychology (PIR), in accordance with the regulation of the profession of General Health Psychologist (Seventh Additional Provision of the General Act on Public Health). Both options offer comprehensive and extensive training in general areas of work as a Clinical or Health Psychologist. However, there are many students who wish to receive a more specific and broader training in the field of Therapeutic Intervention with Children and Adolescents.

Admission process and requirements:.
Students must be holders of a Degree in Psychology or Medicine, as well as having a good record.

Following the submission of the application form along with the required documentation, the candidate will be invited to a personal interview in which the suitability of their profile will be assessed with respect to the requirements for successfully completing the Master's program.

  • This program is aimed at Psychologists who are studying for the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, as well as other Psychologists who wish to obtain a specialization in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy with children and adolescents in their respective work contexts, and who are interested in acquiring the skills and specific abilities to carry out rigorous work in dealing with mental health problems for children and adolescents.
  • Timetable for Studies:
  • Completion of the program in its entirety implies full-time dedication, during which attendance to classes and internships are combined with the personal work of students, based on the guidelines established by the professor.

The Master's fees come to € 7,855 broken down in an €1,990 inscription fee and 10 monthly fees of € 586.50 each.
Alumni will receive a 10% discount.
