The conference was unfolded in different thematic tracks that addressed specific topics to provide the participants with an integrated overview of the recent work on sustainable development of cities and regions.
Roberto Barrella, PhD candidate of the Engineering research line of the Chair, presented the working paper "Towards a hidden energy poverty indicator for Spanish households” at the Special session "Tackling energy poverty”. This paper proposes a methodology to characterize household energy consumption in order to quantify the number of Spanish households whose energy expenditure is abnormally low, considering their characteristics.

The works presented during the same session focused on different topics related to energy poverty: The Ecobonus incentive scheme in Italy, a summer-energy-poverty analysis from a gender perspective (Madrid), and a fuel poverty analysis combining EPCs, Census and Survey Data (Italy).
