EThe journalist, Iñaki Gabilondo, moderated a round table on the importance of lawyers during the Spanish Transition to democracy
Lawyers and their role during the Transition to Democracy was the theme of the sixth session of the seminar devoted to the 40th Anniversary of the Spanish Constitution. Under the title “Remembering the Role of the Legal Profession in the Transition and a Reflection on the Relevance of the Constitution in the Development of our Current Model of the Practice of Law", representatives of the main law firms met, among whom could be found lawyers from Garrigues, Uría Menéndez, Cuatrecasas, Hogan Lowell and Clifford Chance Law Offices. Their lectures were moderated by the journalist Iñaki Gabilondo, who stressed that the entire Transition was "made by lawyers" who created "a intricate legal embroidery that surprised everyone." Gabilondo praised the field of law and its practice and its "ability to perform miracles," in reference to the ability of lawyers to reach agreements.
