The report 'Welcome without Integrating'? was drawn up by the Chair for Refugees and Forced Migrants at Comillas, the Jesuit Migrant Service and the University of Deusto
The Chair for Refugees and Forced Migrants at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, along with the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute, at the University of Deusto, and the Jesuit Migrant Service, have presented the report “Welcome without Integrating? The System of Receiving Migrants and the Conditions for the Integration of People Seeking International Protection “, which highlights the conditions for the integration of refugees into Spanish society and the role that the host system plays in the process.
The event was attended by the Rector of Comillas ICAI-ICADE, Julio L. Martínez, SJ, the UNHCR Representative to Spain, Francesca Friz-Prguda; the Director of the University Institute of Migration Studies (IUEM, in Spanish), Mercedes Fernández, Josep Buades, SJ, of the Migrant Jesuit Service, the Director of the Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute of the University of Deusto, Gorka Urrutia, Juan Iglesias, Director of the Chair for Refugees and Forced Migrants, and the Coordinator of the Chair for Refugees and Forced Migrants, Cecilia Estrada.
