The Official Master's Degree in International Migration is taught in the University Institute of Studies on Migration (IUEM) and has been an official course at Comillas Pontifical University since 2008-2009.
During this time, the IUEM has prepared highly skilled professionals to develop their professional careers in he area of International Migration.
This Master's uses the blended learning method that consists of the combining the online system (virtual classes and online tutorial tools, like face to face tutorials, forums, video tutorials, etc.) with a system of face to face classes. This face to face week is held during the last week in February and classes for subjects relating to research methodology are taught and face to face tutorial sessions are held with the students.
The student's comprehensive training is completed with professional internships guaranteed in national and international bodies.
Moreover, the Official Master's Degree in International Development Cooperation offers the possibility of admission to the Official Doctorate Program in International Migration and Development Cooperation.

Compulsory professional internships in public or private organizations complement the students' academic training and allow them to get a first idea of the reality of migrations, thus fostering their integration in this area. The goal is that, by getting students in contact with the actual representation of those issues studied from a theoretical approach, students develop those skills and capabilities acquired throughout the Master's Programme, development which is also part of the learning process. External internship in one of the institutions that has an educational cooperation agreement with the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. Students complete a direct internship and prepare a report on this experience. Besides, students are assessed by the organization on which they were interns and by the Internship Coordination.
The Official Master's Degree in International Migration addresses the need to have professional experts in the different fields regarding migration, which is a multi-faceted phenomenon and requires training in a complex, specific set of skills.
Students acquire the necessary competences to carry out an analysis of the different scopes of action and policy making implicit in contemporary migration processes. Specialised training is provided for analysing, comparing, assessing and carrying out diagnoses on the migratory reality on which we are immersed. Graduates may either work on non-governmental organizations which carry out intervention processes or in public and private organizations which provide advice, studies, analyses and funding to immigration related products. Besides, the postgraduate degree provides access to the Official Doctorate Program in International Migration and Development Cooperation.
