Society requires individuals to develop an ever-increasing ability to be able to adapt to new, more complex and shifting economic contexts. The most effective tool used by companies to enhance these abilities is human resource development achieved through solid training plans.

With this in mind, the Port Authority of Valencia in conjunction with Comillas Pontifical University initiated the Master's Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transportation (MGPT) in 1992. A groundbreaking training program on the topic and pioneer within the Spanish maritime and port industry which, after the years, has established itself as the primary Spanish training program specialized in the most internationally prestigious ports and transportation, appealing extensively to professionals and young post-graduates in Spain, throughout Europe and South America.

Comillas Pontifical University, via ICADE Business School, which is part of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, in conjunction with the Valenciaport Foundation, through its IPEC-Training department, promotes, leads and develops this Master's Degree.
