The E-5 Program, organized jointly by the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, provides, over five academic years, the comprehensive and integrated studies of the Dual Degree Program in Law and International Relations (E-5), thereby requiring a demanding level of dedication from the student.
E-5 guarantees exhaustive preparation in all areas of the legal field, combined with the interdisciplinary nature of studies on International Relations. This program offers the student training oriented towards professionalization, in a context of thoroughness and rigour; favours skills in English and in a second foreign language; and includes the possibility of undertaking exchange semesters in prestigious partner Universities.

The Dual Degree Program in Law and International Relations is intended for candidates with high intellectual capacities, who stand out for their maturity, capacity of abstract reasoning, ability for critical vision and teamwork and who are fluent in other languages, especially English. Students must be distinguished for their intellectual curiosity and interest for what is happening at the international arena. Candidates also possess abilities to acquire skills typical of interdisciplinary environments, to understand the complex reality of international relations and to stand out in legal advice at the international level. Additionally, the student must be aware of the high demand in terms of dedication to the studies involved in a double degree program, as well as be prepared to undertake an intense workload for five years of university studies.
Completion of the current secondary and pre-university education preparation course in the Spanish Education System or in another declared equivalent, as well as successful completion of the university admissions test.
Students from foreign education systems:
Education systems from EU member States or from other states with which Spain has signed international agreements to mutually recognize completion of the current secondary and pre-university education preparation course, students holding the European Baccalaureate or those holding the International Baccalaureate Diploma -> must accredit compliance with admission requirements by obtaining the accreditation from the National University for Distance Education (UNED).
Education systems from non-EU member states with which no international agreements have been signed to recognize completion of the current secondary and pre-university education preparation course -> must accredit compliance with admission requirements by obtaining the Official accreditation of completion of the current secondary and pre-university education preparation course from the Spanish Education System.
Other forms of admission to the Spanish University System are outlined in the relevant legislation (Royal Decree 412/2014, dated 6 June, which defines the basic regulations of the admission procedures to official university Bachelor's Degree studies).

E-5 Program enables the student to pursue successful professional careers in the public administration, especially the diplomatic career; in universal or regional International Organizations; in international law firms; in legal departments of multinational companies; at international consultancy; in research in think tanks, among other professional options.
E-5 students are given direct access to prestigious postgraduate programs at Comillas, including both the Official Master's Degree for Admission to the Bar (which qualifies students to work as lawyers under Law 34/2006 and Royal Decree 775/2011) as well as other Master's Degree programs which form part of the Center for Innovation in Law (CID-ICADE) and ICADE Business School.
The graduate profile of the Bachelor's Degree in Law is determined by meeting all the generic and specific skills that are set out in the Degree Review Document. As such, Law graduates receive comprehensive legal training that allows them to qualify as jurists and begin their careers in the field of law.
The graduate profile of the Bachelor's Degree in International Relations is the result of acquiring all the generic and specific skills that are set out in the Degree Review Document. International Relations graduates will be professionals able to understand the reality of international relations in an increasingly interdependent world, as well as to analyse, plan strategies and adopt decisions in different professional fields related to international relations, from an interdisciplinary perspective.

The E-5 curriculum includes internships in renowned public and private institutions linked with a professional focus of the two Bachelor's Degrees that comprise the program. Those students who enrol in E-5 as of academic year 2016/2017 will be able to undertake an extended period of internship during a full semester, if they wish to do so (18 ECTS, 1st semester of the 5th academic year).

ICADE students are trained to confront the challenges related to globalization and be able to live in an international setting. Our programs, therefore, offer students the chance to spend one or two semesters studying abroad in renowned universities in over 30 countries with which the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences have strategic partnerships and exchange agreements.
Internationalization is especially advisable for E-5 students due to the strong international component of the studies included in this program. E-5 students may carry out an academic exchange for each of the Bachelor's Degrees contained within the program. Those students who enrol in E-5 as of academic year 2016/2017 will be able to undertake their exchange program during the 1st semester of the 4th academic year and/or the 1st semester of the 5th academic year.
