Support Program for Students with Special Needs

Career prospects

E-1 is the beginning of a professional career in which the student can develop and continue in the best national and international law firms, in legal departments of multinational companies, as well as in the public administration, among other professional options. Once the graduate becomes a member of the Spanish Bar and completes the LL.M. in the United States, the student can sit for the Bar exam in the State of New York (except for DePaul College of Law).

Academic prospects

Regardless of whether students choose to undertake an LL.M. abroad, students have direct access to prestigious postgraduate programs at Comillas, including both the Official Master's Degree for Admission to the Bar (which qualifies students to work as lawyers under Law 34/2006 and the Royal Decree 775/2011) as well as other Master's Degree programs which form part of the Center for Innovation in Law (CID-ICADE) and ICADE Business School.

Graduate profile

The graduate profile of the Bachelor's Degree in Law is determined by the meeting of all the generic and specific skills that are set out in the Degree Review Document. As such, Law graduates receive comprehensive legal training that allows them to qualify as jurists and begin their careers in the field of law.

The E-1 curriculum includes internships in renowned public and private institutions linked with a professional focus of the Bachelor's Degree in Law. Those students who enrol in E-1 as of academic year 2016/2017 will be able to undertake an extended period of internship during a full semester, if they wish to do so (30 ECTS, 1st semester of the 4th academic year).

ICADE students are trained to confront the challenges related to globalization and be able to live in an international setting. Our programs, therefore, offer students the chance to spend one or two semesters studying abroad in renowned universities in over 30 countries with which the Faculty of Law has strategic partnerships and exchange agreements.

Internationalization is especially advisable for E-1 students due to the international orientation of this program. Alternatively to an exchange program, E-1 students can undertake an LL.M. (professionalizing-oriented in some cases) during the last year of the Degree, in a prestigious University in the United States, France or China.
