The new edition of the Spring Course of the Chair for Latin America featured exceptional guests
The Chair for Latin America at Comillas ICAI-ICADE held a new session of its already traditional Spring Course with some exceptional guests. Among them were the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean, Fernando García Casas. During his speech, García Casas confirmed that worldwide there is a feeling of euphoria. "Some 70% of world economies will grow in the coming years. However, it seems that there are things that do not fit. In the case of Europe, there is brexit, the Catalan crisis and the uncertain electoral results in Italy. In Latin America, unsuspected actors on the political scene have appeared," he said. The Secretary of State recalled that, despite having hopes, "much remains to be done. Inequality is still present and 21% of young people neither study nor work. The Spanish economy can do much for the countries of this region."
