The book "Essential Writings of the First Jesuits" is presented at Comillas
The Society of Jesus, the Jesuits, has generated, from its beginnings, an enormous literary production. The book "Essential Writings of the First Jesuits", presented at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, compiles the doctrine and spiritual praxis of Ignacio de Loyola, St. Ignatius of Loyola, and his companions, in his first writings. In the words of the Rector, Julio L. Martínez, SJ, "St Ignatius was a great man who gave himself to the Lord in a very deep way, but he could be who he was, and he did what he did, thanks to the fact that there was a group. And this is manifested in a very clear way in this book."
The Rector was accompanied at the presentation by Professor Henar Pizarro, Professor Alfredo Verdoy, SJ, and the Professor and coordinator of the book, José García de Castro, SJ, who is one of the most important specialists on Ignatian Spirituality. and who is in charge of these themes within the Faculty of Theology at the University.
