Cristina Carretero, a Professor of Law, intervened as an expert
The Congress of the Argentine Nation in Buenos Aires hosted the First International Day of Clear Language, with a program full of lectures and workshops in pursuit of a clearer and more accessible regulatory language, as well as the official creation of the Clear Language Network.
A Law Professor at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, Cristina Carretero, participated in a day of work at the National Senate, where she subsequently presented a paper entitled "Clear Language in Legal Texts: From Tendency to Need" , with more than 200 people in attendance.
In addition, she led the "Clear Language in Law" workshop in the Chamber of Deputies, which saw the participation of more than 60 people, many of whom are directly involved in the drafting or regulations in Argentina.
Carretero confirmed that Argentina has reaffirmed a desire for "clarity in all legal texts, and in all public texts in general," and has involved the highest organizations of the nation "with the aim of promoting clear language within institutions and public bodies to achieve a more effective, democratic and transparent communication".
