88 students participated in the 19th Rector's Trophy for Debate exchanging dialectical blows on the European attitude towards the migration
The migration policy of the European Union was the focus of the debate for the 19th Rector's Trophy for Debate, an issue that has had and still has a significant presence in the media. After overcoming several qualifying stages and beating 42 rival teams, the final took place between the teams formed by Ana Panadero and Beatriz Belmar, students of the Dual Degree in Business Administration and Management and Law (E-3), and by Diego Narbona and Lucas Fernández, students of the First Year of Law (E-1) and First Year of the Dual Degree in Law and International Relations (E-5).
The final debate was fierce and exciting, ending with the victory of the team of Panadero and Belmar, who defended the position against the subject of debate, and repeated the victory that they obtained last year. "Since one of them had not participated in external tournaments, she maintained her status as a rookie, since it is the tournament norm that veterans can not appear together," said Pablo Carbajosa, Coordinator of the Debate Club and Jury Secretary for this edition of the tournament.
